Newspaper ad boosts salesPublished 14 October 2002
The massive success of a newspaper sales campaign for Nilfisk-Advance scrubber/dryers surprised even the company's most experienced staff.
The simplest way to increase product sales is to slash prices. The tricky bit is to create a situation where not only the buyer benefits from the price cut, but where the dealer and manufacturer also make a profit.
- And make a profit we did, says Michael Fenger, Managing Director of Nilfisk-Advance Nordic. He is responsible for sales of the company's large range of scrubber/dryers, which are sold through dealers.
- During the two-month long campaign, we sold one and half as many machines as in the whole of the last calendar year. The precise number is a commercial secret, but I can reveal that the project was a success, adds Michael Fenger.
