Bull's eye- We targeted the Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet as our primary advertising medium as we estimated that many of the people who take decisions on buying this type of cleaning equipment would be Ekstra Bladet readers. Although we also used other marketing media there is no doubt that the three or four advertisements we ran in this newspaper paid off - because it's not every day customers save almost 20.000 DKK by answering an ad in Ekstra Bladet.
- As mentioned we recorded significantly more sales over these two months than in the whole of the previous year. And it's worth remembering that these machines are not just standing idle in dealer warehouses, but are actually performing useful work for customers, says Michael Fenger.
- And we are also delighted to discover that we can create increased demand by adopting a more aggressive product pricing policy. The key for us is to generate volume sales and to making Nilfisk-Advance a profitable business, says Michael Fenger.
