From a final list of 10 nominees, Nilfisk-Advance was named joint winner of the Danish E-business Award for 2003.
- Nilfisk Advance won the award for developing an e-business system that has generated very remarkable rationalisation benefits - both for our customers/partners and ourselves. The system reduces both time consumption and error in order procedures, shipping routines and invoice payment, says Claus Michelsen.
- Data are only entered once, after which the system deals with the rest. Using their passwords, our customers and partners can access the system for themselves and obtain information regarding the orders they have placed. They can also obtain sales and marketing materials and utilise the instruction programmes about our machines available in the system.
- The electronic system is operational 24 hours a day, and this really means something when - like us - you are a global player operating in many different time zones. To find out when we shipped their machines, our South American customers now no longer need to wait for us to show up for work in Denmark. The track and trace facility integrated in the system is something our customers really appreciate, stresses Claus Michelsen.
