The program contains a complete database containing all the company’s relevant cables, ie. both the current supply program and a number of earlier cable types, which enables calculations also to be performed on older installations. The NKTdoc® program is also based on section 6.2001 of the Danish Heavy Current Regulations and on a number of IEC standards.

When the installation plan and data input are completed, NKTdoc® will:

• generate an electrical drawing
• calculate voltage drops and shortcircuit currents for all cables
• generate a parts list that can then form the basis for an order to NKT Cables
