In a 2002 survey of 500 users, 76% rated NKTdoc® ‘good/very good’, 19% rated it ‘average’, 1% did not like it, and 4% replied ‘don’t know’.

In 2003, NKT Cables launched a new version of the NKTdoc® program incorporating a number of solutions to requests by survey respondents.

After spending a couple of hours with program familiarisation the first step is to establish an installation plan. This is followed by input of data concerning voltage, shortcircuit currents, cable types etc., after which the program selects the optimum cable cross-section for the installation.

For small-scale projects the program is provided with templates that deliver instant solutions - without first having to establish an installation plan.
