Shareholder Jørgen B. Sørensen lauded the Board of Directors for NKT’s good performance in 2003 and asked whether, in the light of the coming expansion of the European Union, NKT intended increasing its investment in Eastern Europe.

Christian Kjær said that both NKT Cables and Nilfisk-Advance already had companies in the new EU countries and that these could be used as a bridgehead for exporting to the other east European countries. He did not rule out further investment in Eastern Europe at some time in the future.
