NKT Cables - putting new power in the gridPublished 14 June 2005
Where our electricity comes from is something that we, as consumers, rarely speculate about. It must simply be there when we want it, it must not harm the environment, and it must not cost too much. But being a player in the chain of suppliers responsible for the electrical technology needed to keep a modern society running is not as easy as that …
Elkraft System, Nesa and NKT Cables will confirm this. All three have - and have had - a role in a number of the projects intended to make sure the electricity supply grid in the Copenhagen area can deliver sufficient power to where it is needed.
The challenge for the companies is ongoing. Their electricity systems must be capable of providing optimal service to the people - also in situations where everybody turns everything on at the same time.
The Glentegård-Stasevang Project currently being carried out north of Copenhagen is an element in Nesa’s plans to modernise Copenhagen's electricity supply grid.
