An invisible piece in a vital jigsawPublished 26.10.2005
nkt cables - and other cable suppliers for that matter - are one of the invisible pieces in the electricity supply system 'jigsaw'. Because cables must preferably be integrated into their surroundings. They are either buried in the ground, recessed into the wall, or concealed in cable trays.
"It is therefore from these locations that our cables carry electricity to where it is needed," says Peter Wennevold, Marketing Manager for nkt cables Group. "All the technological knowledge of electricity and cables that we have acquired through more than 100 years and which is incorporated in our cables is hidden from public view - partly because a cable works for ever if used correctly.
Unlike manufacturers of other goods, we have no tradition of marketing ourselves via the visibility of our products. In recent months we have therefore adopted a 'non traditional' solution," says Peter Wennevold.
