It is the culmination of a process lasting several years.
Detlev Waimann extended his warm appreciation to the company’s employees for the positive approach and commitment which they had demonstrated after the green light had been given for the plans to build a new factory in Cologne.
Detlev Waimann ended his address by commenting: “We are building the future on our experience from the past.”
The new factory will be operational with first parts in 2nd quarter 2009.
nkt cables’ Danish owner, NKT Holding, was represented at the ceremony by Chairman of the Board Christian Kjær and CEO Thomas Hofman-Bang. Both took the speaker’s rostrum. The event was also attended by Dion Metzemaekers and Asger Bruun-Christensen, CEO and COO of nkt cables Group.
