Acquisition of VytranThe visit to San Jose further provided an opportunity for the NKT delegation to greet their future colleagues from Vytran, which was also represented at Photonic West. Vytran became a NKT subsidiary in 1 February.
Headquartered in Morganville New Jersey, Vytran has specialised in automated handling and splicing of special fibres since 1989 and is considered the world leader in this field. Vytran has offices in the UK and Australia and is now a member of NKT Photonics Group.
“We see the acquisition of Vytran as a strategically important building block in the continuing development of our core competencies in the optical fibre product segment,” says Søren Isaksen, who is delighted to have the new company in his portfolio.
