The Nilfisk-Advance production in China is not confined to cleaning equipment, but also includes manufacture of components which are used in the manufacturing plants in Europe and the United States. Production costs in China are relatively low, and product quality is high. Accordingly, considerable savings are to be made from manufacturing and exporting components for subsequent assembly in the countries where Nilfisk-Advance produces its cleaners.

“I see promising growth opportunities for Nilfisk-Advance in China in the years ahead. Using Viper to manufacture components for Europe and the US means that we can optimise our opportunities in China,” says Jørgen Jensen, who stresses:

“If we had not taken the strategic initiative of establishing ourselves in China in the early 2000s we would never have gained the experience and knowledge that gave us the confidence to acquire the Viper Group when the chance presented itself in 2007. Our knowledge of the Chinese market underpinned our operations for the first 10 years, and we will now continue building on this platform.
