Corporate Governance

As NKT’s head office is in Denmark, NKT’s shares are listed on the Danish stock exchange, NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen, and the bulk of NKT’s investors live in Denmark, we prioritize compliance with the Danish Corporate Governance recommendations, as recently updated in August 2011. Issued by the Committee on Corporate Governance the recommendations and follow the European Commission guidelines. Listed companies must either comply with the recommendations or explain the background for any divergence.

It is an ongoing proces in NKT  to renew our procedures regarding the Board and our communication-strategy. Our Corporate Governance description will be updated a long with the Annual report 2011.

Corporate Governance

In Denmark the concept of Corporate Governance is largely synonymous with the recommendations of the Committee on Corporate Governance, mostly known as the “Nørby Committee” after it's first chairman Lars Nørby Johansen, 2001-2009. The Committee was set up by the Danish Government in 2001 to promote openness and transparency in Danish listed companies.
