Communication Policy

The NKT Group has a range of shareholders who have varying needs with regard to company information. Among these stakeholders are investors, financial analysts, journalists, suppliers, customers, employees, researchers, authorities, and local communities in which NKT operates.

  • Our objective is to provide credible, open and professional communication with emphasis on quality.
  • In our communication we strive to understand the situation of the stakeholders so that we can satisfy their need for knowledge in a form which is readily accessible, relevant and useful for them.
  • We reply to all enquiries.

As a listed company NKT is required to comply with laws and rules (Including the Danish Securities Trading Act and the Danish Financial Statements Act) and a code of regulations issued by NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen concerning disclosure of issues that may influence share price. This code is not wholly specific, and listed companies themselves are expected to assess, from case to case, whether disclosure is subject to the stock exchange’s code of ethics whereby information that may influence share price must be made available to investors simultaneously. Read more in NKTs IR policy.

In many areas related to their direct stakeholders, including products, sustainability, personnel matters etc. the businesses owned by NKT handle their own communications. These businesses can draw on expertise from NKT’s Group Communications Department in connection with press enquiries etc.

As a general rule, NKT Holding deals with communication relating to:

  • Information that can be price sensitive
  • Business acquisitions and disposals
  • Establishment of new businesses
  • Collective redundancies
  • Issues concerning members of the Management
  • Individual orders representing more than 50 mDKK
  • Information concerning financial statements
  • Business strategy
  • Political statements
  • Issues that may lead to extensive discussion, e.g. environmental or work accidents.

The interaction between NKT’s businesses and NKT’s Group Communications Department concerning, among other things, press releases and press enquiries is governed by internal guidelines. This is to ensure compliance with NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen’s overall general code of ethics.

The languages of the NKT Group are Danish and English. The majority of NKT shareholders are resident in Denmark and the Group’s head office is situated in Brøndby, Denmark. The majority of the Group’s employees work outside Denmark and several of the Group’s businesses are managed from abroad. Communication therefore takes place in both Danish and English.
