NKT owns - on a direct or indirect basis - around 100 companies in all parts of the world. Some started as NKT companies - others joined the Group by acquisition.
The companies are active within one of three main business areas - power cables, professional cleaning equipment and fiber optical components/products. The companies form the basis for the NKT Group's business activities.
The NKT Group had a revenue of 15,253 million DKK (2,045 million EUR) in 2012.
NKT has some 8,800 employees. Around 87% of them are employed outside Denmark.
