NKT Holding owns - on a direct or indirect basis - around 100 companies in all parts of the world. Some started as NKT companies - others joined the group by acquisition.
Being active within one of three main business areas of NKT - power cables, floor care equipment and fiber optical components/products. The companies form the basis for the NKT Group's business activities.
The NKT Group's 2011 revenue was 15,6 bnDKK. 80% came from sales outside Denmark.
End 2011 NKT employed around 9,750 people (incl. the at the time 51% owned NKT Flexibles) of which around 83% are based in companies outside Denmark.
