NKT is one of Denmark's major industrial groups.
The Group consists of some 100 companies - wholly or partly owned subsidiaries. Most of them are based outside Denmark.
The NKT businesses are as follows:
- NKT Cables Group - energy cables;
- Nilfisk-Advance Group - professional cleaning equipment;
- Photonics Group - optical components.
The NKT Group had a revenue of 15,253 million DKK (2,045 million EUR) in 2011.
NKT has some 8,800 employees. Around 87% of them are employed outside Denmark.
