NKT is one of Denmark's large industrial groups.
The Group consists of some 100 companies - wholly or partly owned subsidiaries. Most
of these are foreign-based companies.
The NKT businesses are as follows:
- NKT Cables Group - energy cables
- Nilfisk-Advance Group - cleaning machines
- Photonics Group - optical components
31 December 2011 the NKT Group employed around 9,750 people (incl. the at the time 51% owned NKT Flexibles) of which 83% are based in companies outside Denmark.
The Group's turnover 2011 was 15.6 bnDKK. 92% came from activities abroad.
